I met mexican designer Jade Boulon, in Playa La Ropa, during a business trip to Ixtapa. When I heard she designed swimwear, I was immediately captivated (I´ve always loved fashion)
Because she was born and raised in Zihuatanejo, Jade spent most of her time on the beach or the pool. Then, she came to study to Mexico City, place that along with Montreal and New York, became one of her major influences; she feels very passionate about street wear. She is also very inspired by her mom, who used to take her to her sewing workshop.
Once Jade decided to study fashion, she enrolled at Parsons School of Design, one of the best schools in the world. It was there where Pargo, her swimwear brand, was born.
Pargo was founded in 2010. The brand is influenced by the tropical lifestyle, but it also has urban details. It is a fusion between clean colors and geometric figures, that is easy to wear. The swimsuits are designed in a way that they can be used not only in the beach, but also as prêt à porter underwear.
What I love about them is that they are really simple, but cool.
You can buy them in Hotel Boca Chica (Acapulco), Loot (Ixtapa), Club Med (Cancún), Capella (Ixtapa), and Azul (Ixtapa)
I love the retro vibes of the green one!
